Space Cadetteorganizing your corner of the universe

I want to help you restore balance to life. The key components of achieving this are optimizing living and work spaces and making household and work operations, also known as life, run smoothly. With custom organizational systems and a helping hand, balance can be restored.
My goals for you include:
Although some of us have natural inclinations toward organization, everyone can learn better organizational skills. Using these skills will lead to a more enjoyable and relaxing life.
It is a priority for me to emphasize and facilitate proper disposal of clutter.
I will help you determine what should be donated, consigned, recycled, or trashed and then whisk it away and take care of the details.
You may feel intimidated by inviting a stranger into your private space to help with organization. I understand your reservations so I approach the situation with care, a down-to-earth attitude, and some humor. And, I simply won't pass judgment. The are many causes of disorganization, but they often seem to be related to the American condition of overwork, overcommitment, overconsumption, and over-(fill in the blank). Together we can find a way to simplify your life through organization to find peace and calm.
I am a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and have attended their annual educational conferences since 2004.
I am a member of the North Carolina Chapter of NAPO and have served as the Communication and Technology Director on its board of directors since May of 2005.
I am a member of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD), attended their 2006 spring conference and have earned a Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization.
My organizational skills have developed throughout a variety of applications in my life, and I would like to teach them to you.
I contribute free services to local charitable fundraisers whenever possible. Contact me about a gift to your charity.
In January, 2005 I participated in NAPO's GO Month service project, along with other members of the North Carolina Chapter of NAPO. Cornucopia House cancer support center in Chapel Hill was chosen to receive the organizational makeover. Read more about it on the NAPO-NC web site.
For GO Month in January, 2006 NAPO-NC held educational seminars for the public. I gave a seminar about organizing for the creative person. Read more about it on the NAPO-NC web site.
Also, I am active on the fundraising committee for Best Friend Pet Adoption, helping organize their fundraising events. BFPA coordinates the fostering of lost, abandoned, abused and/or neglected cats and dogs in the Triangle region of North Carolina.
